KURTRUK
Tag says 33 DeSoto, but I kinda doubt it. Is this simply an aftermarket item? E.A. Laboratories Brooklyn, NY

3macboys
36 Hudson Terraplane?
keiser31
Hudson is a match. The DeSoto has a screen and not the fan design.
viv w
Definitely not 36 Terraplane, not even close. I restored one and the horns were similar to 1935 Ford V8, but the trumpet part was diecast metal. 3macboys
Looking at more pictures I have to agree with viv w but then I also found this better image for a 36 Hudson 65 Custom 8 It would look like there are at least a couple of different horns used but I stand to be corrected
viv w
3macboys, your picture is a Hudson 8, my picture above is a 6 Cyl 1936 Terraplane, perhaps they used different horns on the 8 cyl cars?
keiser31
Well, the tapered tube length on the trumpet matches the DeSoto in length, but not the Hudsons.
keiser31
This 1933 DeSoto has the deco grille inside the horn....little different shape, though.... Edited November 5, 2019 by keiser31 (see edit history)
3macboys
Doing some more digging I found this link: I think that the art work has certain liberties but maybe the OP is correct in suggesting that they were aftermarket
