why is a towing company running a federal auction ?

Not that there is anything wrong with a towing company running government auctions, but for maximization of dollars (which I assume to be maximization of taxpayer dollars or reparations for people harmed in X way), the company handling is not particularly geared for these types of car.   I handled a large collection in bankruptcy and we developed a strategy specific to each car and added close to 1MM net to the total collected for reparations (just takes strategy and someone willing)
