Scott Farrington
Good morning everyone. In my 41 Special parts car, I found the jack and what I believe to be a tire stop(?) (Top item in Granpa's pic where they are painted green - what is it called) What are the correct colors for these items? I would like to restore them before offering them for sale. Everything is free and moving. Thanking you all in advance.
pont35cpe
That item is the "jack stand", don`t know about color. `41 Pontiac used the same type jack and stand.. It`s a rim jack, I think it was only used a couple years, maybe `41-42.
Kenneth Carr
My jack has traces of green along with part of the original decal on it. I have seen several others painted green. Although I read somewhere that these also came in black it appears that green was the predominant color.

Buicknutty
On my '41 Canadian built '41, the jack pieces is a kind of dark olive green colour. Keith
Kenneth Carr
I have attached a photo of my jack. This is the way I purchased it, used. I have every reason to believe that the remaining paint is correct. If you look closely inside the rim support at the top you will also see the remains of the original yellow decal. 41Roadmaster
Ahhh, the "widow-maker"...please, no one try to use it without 911 on standby. For what it's worth, mine had traces of what appeared to be original black paint. However, most I've seen are the green color that Alan's photo shows.
