Front Spash Pan Dodge 1917 I.D. help needed

... Front Splash Pan I.D. Dodge help needed. There was a 1917? Dodge still in the field where this Splash Pan was, is there any connection? Note the 1930 CAL Lic-Plate was still attached. Thank you for your input

Looks to be a Dodge Brothers part.

I don't think a DB had that pan until 1918 or 1919. It could have been added later...

Definitely later than 1917.

My 1917 screenside had one on it when I found it in 1979. It was a farm truck the farmer's didn't add extra parts so I would think it was installed by the factory but it's hard to say.

This was 60 yrs ago but I remember the DB Body had a 1917 Serial number on it, under the front seat?

As a feeble attempt to remember : There was a number stamped onto the cross member just in front of the seat to the right  of center. 

The firewall also had a number stamped engine side, right about even with  the hood side hinge.
