1968 Riviera Heater temp door lever linkage return spring

Recommended Posts

Gentlemen, I am missing a spring- the one in the picture attached. I can’t find a part number anywhere! Napa can’t help without a number.. I feel I need the spring to move forward in my search for the heat not coming on in the cabin.

Thanks if you can help!

I would take some measurements on the linkage then go to the yellow bins at your local Ace Hardware store and match something to your measurements.  You might get a couple in different spring rates until you find the one that's works best.

Along with the spring I’m also missing the linkage piece that connects to the door that makes it hot and cold... any parts out there for sale guys). In the picture of the manual, it’s the piece right by the “w” of screw.
I have not found a spring yet..

If your missing piece is located in the picture above, it would be helpful if you could circle the area where the missing piece is located.

Good to know I have a 49000 series

Did you ever come up with a replacement spring that works for your Riviera? Please share with the group if you did.
