Craig Balzer
Of all things -- I am having trouble finding the fuse box on my 65 Riviera Gran Sport. I know it's under the driver side dash. But where? I have attached 2 photos - so let's educate the rookie: Photo 1: I was expecting to find it here. But those 2 ribbon tapes don't lead to it. They lead to the place on the fire wall where wiring harnesses connect on either side of the fire wall. I tried removing/opening the lid/cover that is just above the vent pull. I removed the 2 Phillips head screws but was unsuccessful in removing the lid. Is this where fuse box is? What is the trick to opening this (fiberglass?) cover? Photos 2 shows more of what I expected to be the fuse box. Is that cylinder/can the flasher unit for the directionals? As usual -- TIA: Craig ROA #16059
telriv
The cover above the vent is where the fuse box resides. Remove the 2 screws & pull out on the cover. You may have to drop the vent cable. Pic 2 is the e/brake switch for turning on the light when the e/brake is depressed.
