moses2112
I found an old picture of my grandfather and have been trying to date it. By the look of the car behind him I'm guessing early 40's. Does anyone know what model and year the car is? I've spent several hours with Google Images with no luck. Thanks. Spinneyhill
If it were clearer you could date it from the license plate.

Gunsmoke
Interesting car in trees in background, looks about 1929/30, perhaps Chevrolet or Model A Ford.

Kinda looks like a Ford AA truck to me with those big steel wheels. Edited September 20, 2019 by keiser31 (see edit history)
Dave Henderson
The background vehicle looks like a '30-'31 Model A Ford to me. It could be a passenger vehicle or light commercial. The wheels appear to me to be the 19" spoke ones those vehicles wore.
Dave Mellor NJ
I agree. Look at the hubcap. It's different than the AA
