Sloth
Hello sir, I am restoring an 1910 Oakland model K (forum Our cars & Restoration Projects; Blog title: We acquired an Oakland with a "little" work). As I disassembled the rear axle it seems that the ring gear is welded a lot. I am not going to use it, too much damage already on the gear box. But now I am looking for a replacement ring and pinion. As I am visiting the Marmon forum on a regular base, I saw your add. The dimensions of the Oakland ring gear are: OD=10.63", inner diameter = 6", ratio 3.31 is OK. Pinion OD = 3.54". My question is, do the dimensions of the Oakland (more or less) match those of the Marmon and the big question, it still available? Thank you in advance.
