BiAnarchy
so i need 6.50- 16 10 or 8 ply tires for a funny truck also it has split rims. so im a litte bit worried about mixing and matching i found some 6 ply so for the moment i have a spare. but id really like to get the correct ratting on it. any ideas would help a lot
Gary_Ash
6-ply tires already ride like steel wheels. If you are not hauling tons of rocks, why not buy car tires in that size with fewer plies? I have over $1000 invested in 6-ply truck tires for my ‘48 Studebaker pickup, would prefer softer tires, but they won’t wear out.
Marty Roth
If you're going to drive it, I believe I would follow Gary's advice and go with 4-ply for a more reasonable ride since you're not transporting extreme weight cargo. You might even try removing a leaf or two from your springs
BiAnarchy
thanks for the reply, unfortunately i am hauling a ton of rocks lol but i ended up finding some i thing 215/85 16s that are the exact size i need as well as 10 ply. its for a 1991 isuzu Elf JDM that i imported from japan 6.50 is still a standard size there for whatever reason.
