Smoke Wagon
A gentleman who finds a bunch of stuff from metal detecting asked me to sell these for him. Problem is, I don’t know what they are? Can someone please help me out? Thanks in advance and thanks for letting new guy ask a question right out of the gate.
28 Chrysler
I think they are from the burners on an electric stove.
Smoke Wagon
Are you pulling my leg? I really thought this this would be car related. There’s a car named alvis and I thought it might be related to that but I’m not sure.
60FlatTop
I only have one that has been floating around for a long time. I thought it was the center decoration for an art deco fan guard. Two together makes a stove part sound closer.\
JamesR
You probably thought that the fleet footed figure made them car related. It would make sense from a marketing standpoint. I have no idea what those things are.
Smoke Wagon
Seems like that raised portion in the middle would make it hard for a pot to sit flush unless there was also a raised point at each end of the three points.
nzcarnerd
The Alvis logo/badge was a red triangle. The letters T K have to be a clue.

Smoke Wagon
Looks like you guys were right. Your clues have helped me stumble upon some information. I believe this actually IS stovetop related. I think the T and K stand for “Tuttle & Kift” THANK YOU all. I appreciate it. I was hoping it was off a wheel or a steering wheel, but at least I know now.
Smoke Wagon
Since you guys are all obviously smart fellows, let’s try one more. What do you think this is? Something from an odometer or something like that?

Stude17
I doubt that it is automotive. Probably a numerals drum from an old electric stove clock.

Small numbers, probably the pump totalizer which would have been 5 or 6 digits long. That’s so cool. I love the fact that it’s off a gas pump. Two questions, do you know what era of gas pumps this probably would’ve been off of and what is a pump totalizer? After the suggestion came up of what it was, I looked it up online and I found somewhat similar ones but the Seller said they were partially plastic. I don’t believe any part of this is plastic. The white part almost looks like a ceramic of some sort with the other portions being metal I believe. Thanks to all who have contributed to this conversation. Smoke Wagon
OK this is the last “what is it?” question for at least a week, I promise. I’ve got this bumper laying around and I can’t identify what it comes off of. Does anybody know?

drwatson
I agree, the bumper looks 36-37 Plym or Dodge, but overiders or bumperguards are not original, aftermkt or salvage yard. 1
