Thriller
Oh wow! I’ve got a lot more into my 1962 Special convertible with the V6 that needs work...and the longer it sits, the more it needs. If it were closer, or perhaps north of the border, I’d certainly consider replacing the Special with the Skylark. Man on man. Go ahead Larry...they are great little cars, easy to drive, good fuel economy...could be an alternative when Beulah and the gang don’t want to cooperate, or when your left leg wants a break from the clutch pedal. auburnseeker
Boy you could put this under the bargains thread I started. Sure fits the category well.
Y-JobFan
Blow up the pictures and take a few minutes to REALLY look over this one and there isn’t any bargain here. First glance I almost picked up the phone.
dibarlaw
Understandably there are some things that should have been attended to before the engine went back in. I would have attended to the rust under the battery box and painted the engine bay. But this was a project of father and son as a good driving fun car. Not a high end restoration. The father can no longer decide the fate of the car as it is an estate liquidation. The ad also has Or Best Offer. Checking on line for the family I did not see anything comparable as what I saw was either a considered fully restored car for $21,000. Or an as is rust bucket with no interior and naked top bows for $3,000. I am also guilty of having things in transition. I have 3 cars and if I spent all my time trying to get things in full restoration mode I would not have any road time on any of them. At least now I have 2 of my 3 driving and having fun. But I always think about what if??? I would be incapacitated and or die and left things for the family to clean up. This is their situation.
dibarlaw
Anyone out there snap this up? One of my issues with helping people get their Buicks for sale "out there" is very few ever give any feedback. dibarlaw
I finally recieved a reply from the family yesterday. The car is still available. They indicated that the new owners of the house may be interested. So if any of our Buick lovers are interested. I would move on it.
