1971-73 Centurions

Recommended Posts

Wish I still had my photos of our (former) 1971 Centurion convertible.

It was a serious cruiser, red with white convertible top, white interior, and great working A/C.

Each year on Xmas Eve, we would drive River Road between Grammercy and Lutcher, Louisiana to experience the Festival of the Bonfires, Lighting the way for the Cajun's Pere Noel.

There had been a green coupe for sale around here a while back.  I was tempted (as usual), but space and time limits had me pass it up.  There’s a current temptation that would be another car we don’t see often any more, but She Who Must Be Obeyed is being a voice of reason.

Long-time Centurion owner and enthusiast here.

My parents purchased this 1971 Centurion Formal Coupe new, and I have owned it since the late-1970's.  It's been a remarkable car for the long haul!
