Str8-8-Dave
Looking for a good set of window garnish moldings for my 1931 66S special coupe, either complete set or most needed are the 2 front vertical garnish moldings that are attached to the metal door frame via 6-32 machine screws and barrel nuts. The correct front moldings will have a cutout notch in them to clear the top door hinge reinforcement welded to the inboard edge of the front window frame. Str8-8-Dave
Here are some pictures. The major problem is the front vertical molding. The ones I have were modified to fit over the hinge reinforcement. You can see in the picture the hinge reinforcement has had it's corner ground off and the barrel nut holes in the door frame have been elongated to get the screw holes acceptably aligned with the holes in the cobbled incorrect front molding. Picture of the back side of the molding shows the relief that was cut to allow it to fit over the hinge reinforcement. The doorframe opening measures 30" x 13-3/4" and the front vertical molding which fits between the top and bottom horizontal moldings measure 13-1/8".
