sandtrooper
Can someone name and date this auto please. Thanks in advance (thought it would be an easy one --- and struck out)
Dave Mellor NJ
I thought this was a 46-47 Cadillac but they both had pontoon front fenders which extended into the doors. The front looks like a 48 Cadillac but, as is commonly known, that was the first year for the tail fin. The roof looks more like a 48 at the "C" pillar
Grimy
1948 Olds 98, I think....but the wheelbase seems short for 125 inches

Pete Phillips
Definitely a 1948 Olds 98. I have a 4-dr. sedan and the hub caps and bodyside moldings are the same design.
Studeous
Well in any case another sleek black beauty (to qoute Click n Clack).
D Yaros
The hubcaps certainly look like Oldsmobile.
Brass is Best
GM loved making these fast backs in the post war era. They are all great looking cars.
Marty Roth
absolutely 1948 Olds in torpedo body style 98 Series, as I believe the lesser series still had the pontoon style front fenders extending into, and terminating halfway across the front doors
