Wanted: 1931 DB DH6 right front fender brace: FOUND!

Recommended Posts

Somehow, in one of the (seems like hundreds of) moves I have made with my 1931 Dodge coupe, I seem to have lost the front passenger side fender brace. I know I dragged it around with all of the other parts, but cannot seem to locate it at this time. It may be the same as the 1931 DeSoto or Plymouth piece, but I am not certain on that. Does anyone have one they can spare? The photos show the driver's side item. I need the opposite side item. Thanks in advance. Hey folks. I JUST found the piece I was missing and no longer need it! It was tucked away in a cabinet. Thanks for looking.

John

You’ll find the original the day after you find and buy a replacement.  With the help of my ever patient wife, we inventoried every part for my 32DL,  made a detailed list and packed everything in plastic containers. It all started when I couldn’t find one of my metal ribbed headlight connectors.  As we went through everything, it still wasn’t showing up.  Then I pulled out each empty shelf and there it was resting on the edge of the concrete garage foundation.  It had fallen off the back of one of the shelves.  I hope you have success - believe me, I feel your pain!

Well, it is certainly large enough to trip over, so I would imagine that is what will happen.

Amazingly, the trunk is COMPLETELY empty. THAT was a surprise.

Was the trunk only empty,  because you started stacking crap on the deck lid too early to ever open it again?  Hey I'm guilty of things like that as well.

I think I meant to leave the trunk empty for fear of rat infestation in there. It seems to have worked well. Yes....I DID have some crap piled on the deck lid.

Never thought about the rat issue,  but even with mice,  not a bad idea.  Especially if it's not in a real tight building with rodent control.

I can't tell you the amount of ruined parts i have gotten in because mice loved making homes in all the boxes.

ANYTHING that has rat pee or rat doodoo on it is going to the dump.
