1934 Dodge wood sills

Replacing wooden sill in my dodge 34 DR,  anyone know for sure what wood was used in originals, looks to be cedar the drivers side was replaced at some point  oak, and wrong size  looks to be 3/4 “ stock original loos to be full 1 1/2 “ stock

Benefits of AACA Membership.

There is a hard wood yard up here NH but I was going for poplar, and treat it with linseed oil ,a few times to let it sink into the wood, then use a foundation coating on the bottom, waterproof...Thanks for the inputs 👍

Wow, I didn’t know they still had wood sills in 34.  My 32DL has wooden floors, but the sills are metal and integral with the body.  I do have a sill like assembly around the top of the tool box.

I replaced mine with Australian Hardwood and coated them in a black bitumen paint. Seems to have done the trick.
