Lance C Alfieri
I have a 1933 Yellow cab, (GMC) Taxi. It has a 221 OHV 6 cylinder engine stamped GMC. I understand that this is a Buick offshoot. I am trying to find ANY service/parts books, information, etc. pertaining to this engine. It has a Marvel updraft carburetor, and no apparent timing marks. HELP!~ Lance Alfieri
Guest
Even if there were no timing marks it is easy to set timing. #1 at TDC on compression stroke set points just to start opening. Once engine is running adjust by ear or by two fingers resting lightly on the fender.
