nzcarnerd
A photo taken in New Zealand - 1915 or 1916 I think. Looks to me to be a 1915 4 hp single on the left but is the twin a 1915 'pre Powerplus' or is it a new 1916 Powerplus.
pont35cpe
Do both have a side-car attached?

Craig Gillingham
The one on the right is a 1915, the last year of the IOE Hedstrom engines. 1916 was the first year of the side-valve Powerplus. They are basically the same bike, just different engines. 1915 was also the first year of the valanced front guard. This one is unusual as it's got electrics. The one on the left is a 1912 two-speed. In 1913 all Indians had a sprung rear end. 1912 was also the first year of the short peaked guard in front of the front spring. This one is also different in that it's a two-speed, but a single, most were twins. This is a nice bike, I'd love to own one like this.
