Knight engined car maybe??

Recommended Posts

Posted today on a facebook page.

Date probably circa 1921-23 by the drum lights.

The plate is not easy to read.

The radiator badge looks to me like a knight's helmet.

00 to 30 - maybe something Knight.jpg

Found this photo of a 1920 Willys-Knight. Very similar hood and radiator but different headlights and windshield. Fenders look similar also...

I found another post of the exact same car listed as a 1917, so who knows...

It has been suggested elsewhere that this might be a Durant - nothing to do with Knights.

I have still not worked out exactly which model it is though.

I was thinking Durant, too.

From a little more research I think the mystery car is a Sport Touring from 1923. The regular models didn't have the cowl lights - I think.

This is a 'plain' touring, and because of its head lamps I think it is the earlier 1921-22 model.

The radiator shell on the original car seems to be more arched than the Durant above.
