1934 Chrysler CA Questions

Recommended Posts

Question #1, How do I put the ash tray back into the dash? I saved all the fastners,  but can not  get it to go back the correct way.

Question # 2, The steering wheel has quite a bit of movement before contact is made. How do I adjust the steering gear?

#2. I don't know what system it uses, but this topic has a couple of posts of instructions for earlier Gemmer boxes:

And this is what MoToR's Manual says about Chrysler 1935-37 (Gemmer [2]). Between the earlier and later you should be able to work it out.

Wally, sorry it took so long to get back.  We had a family crisis to deal with.  My 34 CA ash tray is epoxied in place.  I did not do it and am stuck with it (no pun intended).  Getting ready to sell.  Stay tuned.

Spinneyhill, thanks for posting the information. I have not had a chance to really address the problem correctly. Probably going to be a winter project now.

Parrish, thanks for getting back to me. This also will be a winter project.
