May readers just skim down and only open things that are of interest to them specifically. For instance in this case McKinnon Delco would have been a good topic. I would guess that McKinnon Delco would be 6 volt. I believe the McKinnon name was gone from Delco by the time 12 volts became common but I could be wrong. kulin43 Posted June 16, 2019 Author Share Posted June 16, 2019 Thanks for your help , I have just finished restoring my 49 chev ute , but converted it to 12 volt and because I have used the origonal starter it tends to start turning before the solenoid has a chance to engage it , so I am looking for a 12 volt unit that would suit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
