rbk
I listed some of the 1930's oil filters on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/FRAM-Pb-1-2-p-FILCRON-Vintage-Oil-Filter-for-Studebaker-Packard-Mopar/202705082007?hash=item2f322a1697:g:Wy0AAOSwWm1cxJBL https://www.ebay.com/sch/studebakerparts/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1 Edited June 14, 2019 by rbk (see edit history)
drdon
Robert, you would know more than me but I have been told some of the old paper filters are not safe as they can disintegrate. I have 3 around for my 1937s, but converted to the dummy Chevelle filter that fits inside the original filter tank.
rbk
Indeed, some of the Chinese repops have reportedly been accused of plugging engines. They used the incorrect paper filter element and those disintegrated and plugged oil passages. The originals do not have that problem. I sold the N.O.S. 1937 filter but still have a used filter housing for sale and several of the Fram units PM me if anyone is interested in original oil filters such as the C1 filter cartidges and later ones. https://www.ebay.com/sch/studebakerparts/m.html?_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1 Edited June 18, 2019 by rbk (see edit history)
