True.  Like I stated earlier in this thread, I had them on my 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pu.  They were cast iron drums riveted to the hub.  Removed the rivets to replace the drums. No big deal, everything is fine.  I'm not say I'm right in what I did, but it did work and running fine.  I have NOT removed the rivets on my Riviera drums.  I will probably fellow the process of removing the assembly when I check the front brakes.

 

I think there is a new thread on this same subject.
