30DodgePanel
I just wonder what kind of drugs would cause such a physical and mental malfunction.. Never seizes to amaze me what's out there. I'm a purist at heart but I think some of these guys who do quality patina work are artists (at times, not all of them). Would liked to have heard the funny sales pitch the salesman conjured up to move this Buick.. What are some of the bad faux or patina jobs you've seen? 60FlatTop
I know that pattern. It is wet Spandex prints from sweaty bicyclists admiring the Cadillac next to it. I get them on my four door whenever I go to a show or cruise..... They're checking out the red two door next to me.

Maybe convertibles are best to park beside because no-one needs to bend down to see inside.

8E45E
Should have 'Sponge-Bob was here' written in the dust on it. But this Buick tops it all for wretched taste: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3885577/1969-buick-skylark/ Craig Edited June 12, 2019 by 8E45E (see edit history)

I bought this pick up in Tucson, the guy cringed when I told him I would have to do something over his work as I live where it rains. He told me of all the hours he spent sanding it to bare metal in just the right places. I wont paint it with color unless I can find a better tail gate or a newer box and tail gate that doesn't use the chains. However I am getting pretty used to it in the grey sealer, primer, or what ever it is.
JACK M
On the other hand. I am sure that this finish will out last me. Edited June 12, 2019 by JACK M (see edit history)
oily rag
Some times there is a reason to just to get rid of left over paint.

CHuDWah
Took me a little while to figure out the visual pun - pretty clever. 🤣 On 6/12/2019 at 8:06 AM, 60FlatTop said: The really good ones are signed and numbered.
