Donlou
Can anyone identify this mid to late 30s car. From a 8mm film I took in 1969. Seems to have suicide doors.

The '35 Pontiac's grille center went over the top of the radiator shell and formed the basis for the streak. In '36 it was extended the length of the hood's top as well. Later years it even went down the car's rear. The Silver Streak design helped revered designer Franklin Hershey gain recognition.
Donlou
Thanks all. Best bet is 35 Pontiac except for Silver Streak (no front suicide doors on 36). Googled every brand I know of from 34 to 38 and Pontiac is definatly closest. Wondering if the car in the film was not modified with a chevy grill and hood. pont35cpe
1935 Pontiac. Hood side trim, center(silver-streak)of hood and grille, and both side grilles are not on the car.

If you look hard, the rounded front of the side trim can be seen, as per the attached. The debossed stripes on the fender sides are indigenous to the '35 Pontiac also.
