Bhigdog
Actually WAY more interesting and fun than seeing the same old same old. Not trying to piss anyone off but going to local and AACA shows became like deja vu all over again. These good old boys and their trucks are the real deal. The time and effort involved in some of the restorations rivals anything expended on the most exotic classic. It could be argued the functional beauty of the Autocar below actually surpasses some of the so called "classics". And then there are the 19?? whatevers. Dragged from a swamp behind some logging camp or quarry setting on the field. Proudly showing all their scars from decades of honest work. No prissy banker ever rode to work or the golf course in one of them. The show also has a pretty good flea market. Weighted towards trucks, of course, but lots of crossover stuff. I plan to be there with my 39 JC............................Bob .............Bob Edited June 10, 2019 by Bhigdog (see edit history)
greenie
Friday was a nice day in Macungie. Clouds and even a few sprinkles gave way to breezy sunshine by 10am. Trucks of all shapes and sizes poured in all day. The swap meet is again smaller than it once was, but still entertaining for about two hours. The truck show is a relaxed affairs with most of it on grassy areas with some tree cover. Go on Saturday and have a great time!
