1934 armored Studebaker.

Yep! A car for such a specific purpose definitely needed the deluxe dual salon horns, sidemount spares and radiator mascot.

Why, ...the gang would be so awestruck by the grace and refinement they would be easily cuffed and stuffed before they even knew the alarm had been tripped. 🤣

That is a common photo which has appeared in several publications on Studebaker, including 'The Studebaker Century' by Richard Langworth/Asa Hall, and in the Studebaker Drivers Club publication, 'Turning Wheels'.

As far as I know, its still 'MIA', and waiting to be found.

The article indicates it was crashed very early in its life.

Probably went to scrap during the war.

One of the tours at the International Meet in Mansfield , OH will go to the Canton Classic Car Museum which has an armored 37 Studebaker President police car. From their web site: You can step right up and admire the bullet-resistant window glass that is over an inch thick. Each window features a Tommy gun porthole.
