Cindy Livingston
Pete or I will respond information when we hear back from Midwest City Tourism people, but a search on Google shows reviews of the RV campgrounds close to Midwest City. RedDawn is right - Tinker AFB for vets is very close and gets great reviews. Keep in mind that Del City and Midwest City are basically suburbs of Oklahoma City, so all three cities are close to each other. Here is the online review of RV campsites: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/oklahoma/midwest-city

But 2019 first... Pete has an excellent event planned. I am very excited about this one. Everyone should really consider it as it is gonna be one you won't want to miss. If I can make sure it is reliable enough might bring the 38-87...
Dynaflash8
There is very little chance I will try to go to OKC because of age and the various health problems that go with that. I rather doubt I'll even make the AACA Glidden Tour in the Charlotte area, but that might be doable. I am considering selling the trailer at the beginning of 2019. That sounds interesting. I am planning to attend the Oklahoma City event, likely traveling in the '69 Electra, but it would be neat to bring my '41 McLaughlin Buick Roadmaster to the 2021 show, but where is that going to be? That would be a model not often seen anywhere. Keith Edited September 2, 2018 by Buicknutty (see edit history)
Cindy Livingston
If you are planning to go on one of the driving tours at the 2019 national meet in Oklahoma, please note that there is a change in the schedule for the two driving tours. The Wed-Fri tours have been flip-flopped in order to take advantage of museum hours and also to make sure the Friday group is back in time for the Judges Training class. The Historic Guthrie Tour will now be on Wednesday, June 12 from 9:00-1:00. The Route 66 driving tour will be on Friday, June 14 from 8:30-2:30. The new registration form will reflect these changes and will be in the October Bugle.
Pete Phillips
Host hotel is sold out at this point; if you have not reserved a room yet, you will need to contact one of the overflow hotels. And there are lots of those, within walking distance (half a block or so). Typically the national meet host reserve rooms in advance for the BOD, Chief Judge, etc. And they get notice of their conf number so they can adjust the dates as they see fit. Jack Welch
The BCA President usually gets his / her room reserved by the host Chapter. I know as Head judge for Denver and this year as a BOD member, I had to make my own reservations. I know when I ran the two Danvers Meet, we blocked rooms for BOD members, but it was up to them to make their own reservations.

Buicknutty
I have had my room booked for '19 a while now, and am planning to send my registration, but the info about the Rt 66 tour is conflicting. Some places it says Wed, other it says Fri. The BCA website has this conflicting info, as well as the form on the forum here, and the one on the back of the Bugle. I don't have a new issue of the Bugle, as we are in the midst of a Postal service dispute, and mail, though flowing, is way, waaay, behind. Could someone PLEASE clarify this? Pete Phillips
Yes, we had to change the day of the Rte. 66 driving tour from Wed. to Friday due to the star attraction being closed on Wednesdays; and the star attraction of the Guthrie, Oklahoma tour being closed on Fridays, so it all worked out. We just swapped days. Older issues of the Bugle are outdated on the registration form. Pete 1

Pete Phillips
This will be the show field on Saturday morning when the judging takes place. Approx. 500 parking spaces; we might use it for trailer parking, too. Is about two blocks from all of the hotels--walkable or there will also be shuttle vans.

Pete Phillips
The outdoor swap meet will be held inside the hotel's parking garage, with approximately 70 ten by twenty ft. spaces, so vendors will have some protection if it rains. There are also indoor swap spaces, all located in one very large room at the convention center. The outdoor swap spaces do have a height limit, though, due to the parking garage's roof--7.5 feet, if I remember correctly. Those needing greater height will have to be located in the adjacent parking lot with no roof. Here's the layout inside the parking garage. We will use this sheet to assign spaces as registrations come in. Vendors should be able to drive up to their space(s) and unload. TxBuicks
This is taken from the Modified Judging Form, does it help? Modified Classes are based on the following: Mild : engine swaps to of-era allowed, only minor body changes, interior upgrades, engine upgrades. Resto-Rod : Looks stock but is repowered, major suspension upgrades, interior changes. Radical : Has had major body changes, major suspension changes, engine change.
TxBuicks
Some people have asked for RV and Campground information in the Midwest City, OK area. Here is a list provided by the Midwest City Visitor's Center. As usual, please check with the campground directly before making any reservations. Edgewood RV Community (This is a smaller, older park in Midwest City. It can be hard to locate at first. This park is closest to the show and activity) 8801 SE 29th Street Midwest City, OK 73110 (405) 732-8400 www.Edgewoodrvokc.com Eastland Hills RV Park (This park is actually in Midwest City, but has an Oklahoma City address) 3100 S. Douglas Blvd. Oklahoma City, OK (405) 475-5514 www.Eastlandhillsrvpark.com Oklahoma City East KOA Holiday (This is a nice park about 12 miles east of Midwest City just off of !-40 . Be sure to ask about the status of the interstate construction at Choctaw Rd. The bridges and interstate are being rerouted. Construction is a mess right now) 6200 S. Choctaw Rd. Choctaw, OK 73020 (405) 391-5000 www.KOA.com Twin Fountains RV Park (This is a large park in Oklahoma City at the crossroads of I-35 and I-44. The location is west of Midwest City and Buick show activity. However; may be on the way to some scheduled off property activities. May experience some traffic at peak times. Ask about current construction on I-35 & I-44. It is bad in the area right now. ) 2727 NE 63rd Street Oklahoma City, OK (405) 475-5514 www.twinfountainsrvpark.com 1

Thriller
Well, one of my wagons is 60 this year...would be neat to have it there, although I wouldn’t drive it in its present condition (let’s see if I can get the extras done). What to bring is always a question...well, that and how many. Theoretically we could drive a convoy of five down, but that would get expensive.
Pete Phillips
This large room at the convention center is where the indoor swap meet vendors will be--large enough to have all vendors in one room, with larger than usual spaces. Guest
This is a "to whom it may concern" suggestion. Hopefully it will received in the positive spirit its proffered. In the package given to participants and as an anonymous method to compliment/constructively criticize their experience at the show, a survey to rate the experience. Imho this is a way to gain perspective from folks who might otherwise feel uncomfortable expressing their suggestions with a precondition that personal criticisms would not be considered. It might provide some new ideas for enhancing the experience.Thanx for taking the time to read and professionally consider this suggestion. As current National Meet Chairman, we often operate in the dark when organizing National Meets. WE know what we as individual planning members would like to see and hope attendees feel the same way. I think you have made an outstanding suggestion here.I will bring this idea up to the Committee. I also would go a step further and add an optional place for name , email and / or address for those would like a response.
