39BuickEight
Hello everyone, my father recently passed and I am the new owner of his pride and joy. He drag raced Chevy II’s in the early 70’s and then started restoring Corvettes around 1980. After a few of those (a ‘61, ‘73, and a ‘78) he decided he wanted to restore his teenage dream car. This was the result. It’s even the correct color combination code and all, just like he wanted as a kid. He wanted the rallye’s on it, so it always looked like this. He also kept a set of the original style wheels, and caps too, with Coker sticker bias tires for shows, so it would be 100% correct. He did all the work himself, but the paint, from 1995-2000. He only drove it 183 miles total from 2000-2018. He just clay barred it last summer, as if it needed it. My brother rebuilt the carb and we put fresh gas in it. I drove it to my place Saturday and put 13 more miles on it. Ran like a champ. Here she is.
