Nate c
Ihttps://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/s/?view=att&th=16a14f9a98cd7477&attid=0.1&disp=attd&realattid=e08f29aa43bbc2ee_0.1&safe=1&zw'm replacing the engine in my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. I was pulling off the intake manifold and I thought I saw something fly out. I found a small spring and beveled dowel on the ground and I can't figure out where it came from. Does anybody have a clue? i also pulled off the exhaust manifolds on both sides but I found the spring and the dowel on the drivers side of the engine which is where the vacuum lines were. Are there any springs and dowels? One side of the spring is skinnier and the other is wider it looks like the dowel would go on the skinnier side of the spring I attached a link with a picture at the top Edited April 13, 2019 by Nate c (see edit history)
Nate c
Nevermind, I found it. It came from the PCV valve that I snapped in half when lowering the engine down to the ground. So if you snap your PCV valve and find a dowel and spring on the ground that's where it came from.
