auburnseeker
Oh come on, it's that old car smell. Especially if you throw a box of mothballs in it and leave it in the sun for a few days with the windows all rolled up. You can usually smell the driver walking around the swap meet as well. You know exactly which car he came in. Edited April 8, 2019 by auburnseeker (see edit history)
auburnseeker
To help dispell some of the myths, I had a 57 chevy sedan that looked pretty nice and even the interior was pretty nice and original. It had that mouse smell as well. I pulled the rear seat out one day and found a nice nest with a few dead mice in it under the bottom cushion. They had made a nice nest with all the dryer sheets someone stuck in it and for some reason collected all the mothballs they could find and added them for decor or something. I tried the Irish spring soap bar in my 48 Chevy which was a twin to the one above but they ate half the bar of soap over the winter. Must have been farting bubbles for quite a few days. Now I put a bunch of traps outside the car and just check them frequently. They love Peanut Butter better than old cars.
JACK M
Mice don't chew on metal but their pee sure does. 1
