Trulyvintage
Is there a relative who can drive it back -and then fly back to Florida ? Thst is your best bet. Jim Edited March 14, 2019 by Trulyvintage (see edit history)
g-g-g0
More than likely an effective way would be to have a relative/friend drive the car and then fly them back. My son has also used an outfit called Door to Door (a broker) several times recently for a long haul with very good results. First option would probably be best. padgett
Or could take the autotrain. About 70 miles from Patrick to Sanford Fl, sleep away the next 800+ miles and drive from Lorton VA (on 95 a touch south of DC) to Conn. I have done this several times. https://www.amtrak.com/auto-train
Trulyvintage
Excellent idea ^^^^ if your relative is up to a train ride. I have heard of this before - seems to be quite satisfactory to those who use it. I have to take a train ride like this sometime - sounds like fun ! John_S_in_Penna
Here is a method I employed once: Call a local car dealer or two near your destination; ask them who they use for open-air transport for such a distance. Car collectors, such as those of us on this forum, are often inclined to use enclosed transport. However, that's more expensive and beyond what you need. All the best to you in your quest. W_Higgins
17 hours ago, Bills Auto Works said: Common Sense would dictate that if a gentleman posts on a forum looking for a recommendation for a car transporter, that he does not want to. "drive it himself". Yeah -- this. Too bad Bill can't handle it himself. His work is top notch. I'd trust his suggestions to be good ones.
