AC SERVICE LIGHT

Guest

Recommended Posts

About six months ago I had my compressor replaced. After a couple days I noticed the service light was on, athough the AC was working fine. The repair man said that Cadilacs, Buicks, etc with Automatic control (AC) tend to have the computer chip malfunction. If it was to continue it would have to be replaced. He than disconnected the battery(for a few seconds) and the light disappeard.Lately the light is acting up again with the AC working fine. When I disconnect the battery it shuts off for a few days. My question is:- 1) Do I need to bring the car back (1 yr War.) 2) Does the compurter have a code or procedure for me to correct this problem? I would appreciate any advise for me to correct same

Would think REF. is low. Would have the repair shop check with gages. Only time my Reatta shows a problem is when there is a problem. Most of the time low Ref. ken
