Sorry it took so long but when I was down and looked at the tires the other day I forgot to get the name off them. They are made by Kelly Springfield and are called Broadway Classics. They make these tires as OEM replacements for an Early 80's Olds Torando that came with this style tire so they should not yellow. As for why I want radials tires I live in South Dakota and the roads have a lot of frost damage. I have owned a 1970 GSX for 23 years and it always had Bias Ply tires on it until last summer. I put a set of Bridgestone Radials on this car and it made a %100 difference in the ride and handling of the car. I only wish I had done this 20 years ago, maybe some of the interior peices that are now loose would still be intact. The first thing I noticed when driving the 58 model 41 I just bought was that every time the car hit an expansion joint in the road the horn ring rattles. I decided then and there to replace the tires with radials. That plus the fact that radial last much longer, are much more puncture resistant, and if they do pick up a nail will hold it in and seal up against leaking so you can drive to the next town is the reason I am putting them on my car. If I was trailering the car to shows and not driving long distances to get to them I may leave the Bias ply tire on it. I am more than willing to loose some points in competition for the safety, convienience and ride of radials.
Sid Rollings
1987 Riviea T Type
1970 GSX
1967 Le Sabre
1958 Special
1955 Special
------------------
Thanks SINTID, but when did you buy those
tires? I talked to the distributer for
Kelly Springfield and he said they have'nt
made those tires for 6 or 7 years. Did you
find some old stock where you are? Please
let me know where you got them, I'd like
to see if they have any more. Thanks

The name of the place where I got the tires is The Fillin Station in Hudson South Dakota. The owners name is Tracy Homandberg and the phone number is 605-984-2221. I am sure he would be happy to get a set of these and ship them to you if possible. I really don't know if they are some that came out of stock or if they still make them but he got them in less than a week for me.
------------------
I took my 58 down to store it today and got those tires mounted. They look very good on the car. I didn't know I was going to have time to get them mounted on the car so I didnt take a camera. As soon as I get a chance I will take a picture and put it on the net
------------------
