Michael C Wauhop Posted March 2, 2019 Share Posted March 2, 2019 (edited) I am looking to add an air conditioner to my 1955 Packard since it is a driver I plan to go with an aftermarket unit I saw this one made by Classic auto air does anyone out there have this unit and if so are you satisfied with it? John_Mereness Posted March 2, 2019 Share Posted March 2, 2019 I have no experience with this particular product, but it looks like a good solution and certainly has always been "period" as far as installation. I do have had some experience with period aftermarket trunk mounted air conditioning units installed on this and that and they really do work well even in trunk outside of if you have a car with a hot front floor you most likely will still have toasty feet (and your back seat passengers tend to complain a bit about the cold chill on their neck until they figure out where to sit and/or slump down in the seats).
