Frankford Plating

Recommended Posts

I was looking to have some chrome mouldings replated for my car. There is a plater in my hometown called Frankford plating; depending on which reviews you read they are either the best chrome platers in the business or the worst I wanted to get some opinions before I take the parts to them.

If a company has some of the "worst" reviews,

that is clearly a red flag.

If you let us know your location, maybe we can

tell you of a reputable plater within driving distance.

Since the place is local, I`d go by and check the place and their work. A lot of the older cars mouldings were stainless steel which can be buffed/polished to original luster, no chrome.

If the problem is that the shop doesn't return

people's chrome, or return it in a timely manner,

mightn't the shop look full and busy when he

stops by?  The problem likely wouldn't be evident.

He would have to ask customers themselves,

and it already sounds as if some people's experiences

have been very negative.

If you are near Frankford Plating you are also relatively near Librandi's Plating. We use Librandi's for almost

all our plating.

If you're going to recommend that, than you should also recommend that they go well armed.  Not a nice part of town!

I had a very bad experience with them several years ago and have used Paul's Chrome in Evans City, PA since and been nothing but satisfied.

I was very happy with Librandi's work and timely turnaround.
