AHa
I know there's not much to go on, but can anyone identify this cowl? It appears to be off of a wood bodied/metal skinned large car. The firewall was wood right up to the metal skin. The metal skin does turn down 1/2" over the firewall. This part is also for sale if anybody sees something they can use. I would like to know what it came off of. Edited January 24, 2019 by AHa (see edit history)

1912Staver
1918 's had a metal firewall, but I think you are on the right track with Buick 6. Sometimes the firewall comes loose from the cowl. Perhaps someone used the tin on something else and made up a wood firewall. Can you post a couple of photos of the windshield support casting ? The 5 pas , model 45 {common} cowl is different than the 7 pas, model 49 {rare in comparison} however the differences are difficult to tell unless you have them side by side.
