1930 Crank main bearings

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if there is a modern equivalent for the main bearings on a 1930 147? crank assembly drawing number 43840.

A search on this forum hasn't revealed any details.

Benefits of AACA Membership.

No modern equivalent for those main bearings, Martin. You'll have to find a service that can re-babbitt your originals and then align bore and hone them once installed back into the engine base.  There are a few very good shops here in the USA I can recommend, but I'm sure you can find some there in the UK.

Yes, thank you Martin. I hope Father Christmas was good to you and yours.

Thanks Paul, I thought as much but thought I would ask. Hope you had a great Christmas.

Martin I have a good supply of the Pontiac insert bearings that were used in the con rods if you need them.I think there is a Toyota application as well.
