oneriviera64
I am looking for original blue seat belts for my 64 Riviera. Can be only for front seats but I would prefer also for back seats. Andres
1965rivgs
Hi Andres, There are 2 types using appearance as a qualifier. There is the chrome buckle variety and the plain plastic buckle variety. Might help to narrow your search if you state your preference. KongaMan
Good luck! I've been looking for those for years. IMHO, your best bet (albeit expensive) would be to get a good set of buckles with some other color and have them re-webbed. Or cheap out, as I did, with some of these (in blue, of course; color 4004): One thing to remember if you go that route: you need 60" (not 74") belts for the front. telriv
Andres, Remember what we talked about. Would you TRUST old worn belts to protect your children in the back Seat??? Also what about your own safety???
RivNut
Find the buckles you want then have them renewed and rewebbed by Ssnake Oyl https://www.ssnake-oyl.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=Ssnake-Oyl&Category_Code=NEW_SEAT_CAT_HEAD Wesco has a line of new replacement belts for classic cars. https://www.wescoperformance.com/ll60.html Good luck finding any of the OE '64 buckles. 😎
telriv
Another source is Ando Auto. I could, like I said, also source these for you Andres & include them in the box. Do a search for Ando Auto to see what may interest you. Tom T.

There are others who offer the same service at lower cost. If you do get the Eberhart buckles, check to make sure the internal spring clips are intact. If they break, the buckle won't stay latched. 1965rivgs
How about NOS?? There are quite a few NOS `64 seat belts out there because Buick was sending updated chrome buckle seat belts to dealers who sold `64 Rivieras as A MATTER OF RECORD! In other words, if a dealer sold 12 `64 Rivieras before the campaign was announced Buick would send replacement belt sets in the correct color so the dealer could contact customers to have the belts replaced. This was not a campaign initiated by GM or Buick spurred by accidents or demonstrated safety concerns but initiated by the seat belt supplier. Needless to say, alot of seat belts never got installed in the cars and hence are floating around now. Check your sources! And if you communicate which buckle design you desire I might be able to help. If so, send me a PM Tom
