1940 Super convert question

1940 Buick Super converts dont have a "top motor". The top moves up or down with vacuum provided by the engine, if its in original configuration. Two large cylinders(approx 5-6" in diameter) contain a "disc" with a seal around the perimeter. When the control valve connects the engine vacuum to the cylinders on both sides the vacuum moves the disc up or down depending on pulling or pushing the knob on the spring back to neutral valve. Kiss principle. No fluid, no messy leaks.
