34LaSalleClubSedan
Would anyone have a original Packard roadster top boot for sale, or one I could use for a pattern? Any condition O.K. I believe the canvas boot is the same for 6 & 8 Cylinder cars from 1926 thru 1929. Third thru Six series. Thanks, Jim
West Peterson
My brother has an original for his 1929 phaeton, but I suspect that would be a different boot. I don't know, though.
34LaSalleClubSedan
Thanks West, I'm sure there is a top boot for a roadster out there somewhere. I'm sure I'll find one someday.

jrbartlett
I had a top boot made for my '29 Super 8 roadster using photos from the sales brochure as a pattern. Where are you located?
34LaSalleClubSedan
Thanks James for your reply. I am in Minnesota. My Packard 8 roadster is all original and nice survivor. Ideal I would like to find someone who is replacing their original top and top boot. So if anyone has a original 1926-1929 Packard 6 or 8 top boot I would be interested in buying it, and if anyone replacing tan canvas top material from any high end car from the 1920's 1930's I would also be interested in buying that old material. Material from a touring car might be better. That way I would have enough material for the Packard roadster. Any leads appreciated. Maybe some restoration shop might have old top material from a job they are working on. Thanks, Jim

34LaSalleClubSedan
Problem, first you have to have one🙂
34LaSalleClubSedan
FYI Restorer32.....The top boot as well as the top material is long gone. Replaced by a metal California top from a junk 32 Chev coupe during WWII. I have the top irons and bows. I want older material to match the patina of the car in its original roadster form!!!! Captain Harley
There is a 1928 Packard roadster for sale on eBay at present. In the pictures is what looks like an old canvas top boot. I doubt they would sale just the boot, but you never can tell.........  Capt. Harley😉
