Guest
I recently discovered they only built 600 of these? Are there any survivors in the club or anywhere. Ive been told of one in the mountains & told to come & haul it away & its mine
Guest
According to production figures, you are correct in that only 600 of the 1952 model # 46C were produced. I looked in the most recent BCA Membership Roster, and no one is listed as having one. If there is enough of it there to start with, and you've got some DEEP pockets, drag it down from the mountain and enjoy it!!!!!
Mike Book BCA # 9202
Reatta Club # 407
BDE #
Guest
Thanks Mike & Ive already done dragged it down the hill--it was 99% complete as it was only missing its 4 wheels(which I have plenty Buick wheels!) & the hydraulic pump which I have a12volt from a 53 Cad that'll suffice just fine

Guest
Hey Ragtop52--this must be the week for bargains--or as I say there out there if you can find them. While taking a trip to southern New Mexico I was told of a '49 Buick for sale ( a friend of a friend of a friend type) After driving about 15 miles down a dirt road we came to this desert hamlet & behind the shack lurked the grille of a 49 allright--but the car was none other than a Roadmaster 2 door HT !! I squinted when I asked how much, the elderly gentleman just let out a smile & said "I know how much its worth but ahh how about $750??" Well needless to say the rest is history
Centurion
Wow! That '49 Roadmaster Riviera sounds great. Hope we get to see and hear more about that one.
Guest
from what we can ascertain about the car, its spent much of its life,if not all, in the southwest, there were old Calif registrations from 1957 thru 1965 with it. The gentleman I bought it from, bought it in 1966 & drove it for 3 years and again from 1973 thru 1976 before parking it. Since my Oct 4th purchase Ive started the engine--purrs like a kitty after some coaxing. The Dynaflow leaks(naturally!) & the rear end gears are a little rough, the rest is largely in need of cosmetics. And it will NEVER see our northern Missouri winters, ever!!!
