Bloo Posted December 10, 2018 Share Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) Have a look at the location of the water pump. Early 50s had it on the side of the block, behind the generator. Not sure, but I think the later ones had the water pump on the front. If your car has a pump on the side, and the new one doesn't, there is a good chance the engine won't fit in the available space.
