1929 Plymouth coupe wheel cyl. bore sizes

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the inner bore sizes of the brake wheel cylinders on a 1929 Plymouth coupe?

Some of the replacement cylinders list 1 1/4" for the front and rear, but this seems too large to me.

Thanks,  Dave

Sounds correct. That is what me 1931 Dodge Brothers cylinders are and many other Chrysler products of the era have the same size.

Many of the early Wagner Lockheed systems used what today seem like overly large bore cylinders for both the wheel and master cylinders.  1/1/4 was common and some systems used even large bore.

One of the reasons they are such efficient systems.
