Here is a pic from NE.  I think it is from 1933..


I worked for a guy that sold gasoline at the  wholesale  level back in the 90's.. He told me gas need to be at 3.85 or higher to make this work..



0.51 per gallon U.S. subsidy. It's possible to make ethanol from corn, and burn it in gasoline. But is it wise? Does corn ethanol really combat global warming?In 2005 for the ethanol  guy.. Not sure what it is today..


FYI - my old cars do not like it.. They leak and run funny..


During the Second World War, almost every motorised vehicle in continental Europe was converted to use firewood. Wood gas cars (also known as producer gas cars) are a not-so-elegant but surprisingly efficient and ecological alternative to their petrol (gasoline) cousins, whilst their range is comparable to that of electric cars.
