Mars
Wondering if I should be concerned about valve adjustment on my 30 cf. Is that the clicking I hear? Or is it just wear and tear?
Taylormade
Have you ever adjusted the valves?

Spinneyhill
With warm engine, 0.007" exhaust, 0.005" inlet. Exhaust valves are 1-4-5-8-9-12-13-16. It won't be easy, kneeling, leaning in over the mudguard and reaching in under the manifolds. Taylormade
Yeah, as Spinneyhill says, it's no fun, especially getting in there past the fender, under the exhaust manifold and behind the carb. How noisy are the lifters? All engines make some noise, but a noticeable clicking means you need to adjust them.
Spinneyhill
We do have a small advantage over your DL @Taylormade, with a downdraft carburetor! But in my case, I have to work around the steering column and linkages. Of course with a warm engine, you are working around a hot exhaust.
