31plymouth
Trying to identify these 2 wire wheels that I have. I think they are 18" (smaller than my 19" Plymouth wheels) 5 lug about 3 1/2 " between lug nut holes.
keiser31
18" with adjustable spokes? Could be 1932 Plymouth.
keiser31
Does it say, "BUDD" on the inner rim area?
Davenport
Bolt circle seems like 4.5"
31plymouth
I cannot find any Manufacturers ID on the wheel. Tried it on my 31 Plymouth. Bolt pattern different. Thinking that although 1931 Plymouth uses 19" and 1932 uses 18" the bolt pattern would be the same . Did not fit.
28 Chrysler
To measure the bolt pattern for 5 lugs, start at the edge of one hole, skip a hole and measure to center of the third.

Spinneyhill
1932 Ply PA, PB was 18x3 on 5/5" bolts. 1932 Dodge DL, Chrysler CI, were 18x3¼, 5/5". 1932 Pontiac 6 was 18x3, 5/5" bolts. 1932 DeSoto SC6 was 18x3, 5/5" (exc. DeL.), as was the Essex '32 Super 6. From The Hollander 1952. Might the hubcap opening be any help in recognising it? The PB 18x3.00 5x5 Wire is a Budd wheel p/n B30896 not a kelsey hayes and the 17" for pb is a motor wheel p/n M21169 So I will keep researching this 18" to figure it out Edited September 19, 2018 by thehandleman (see edit history)
Spinneyhill
In the photo where you are measueing between non-consecutive bolt holes, you can see the K stamp on the right and "PAT" and "PEND" nearer the top. What are the numbers stamped at the bottom?

31plymouth
To be clear. The KH and numbers I found were on the inner ( tube section) of the wheel.
thehandleman
K for kelsey hayes i saw in my wheel book pontiac made a 32 wheel by kelsey hayes but the 18” for plymouth was budd and motor wheel. The 2 32 could be Febuary of 1932 budd did that in there wire wheels I am thinking this is a Kelsey Hayes made for 1932 Pontiac or maybe Graham also still searching books
Spinneyhill
14 hours ago, thehandleman said: maybe Graham also still searching books '31-32 Graham 53, 54 had an 18x3¼ on 6/6" bolts. Other '32 Grahams and later ones had smaller wheels.
