RichardW 10 Posted September 9, 2018 I have a chance to acquire a complete Chrysler 4 cylinder chassis. Also included is a Chrysler touring body for it. I was told it was a '26 but I am not sure. keiser31 3,605 Posted September 9, 2018 You need to post a VERY clear photo of the FEDCO plate on the dashboard to see what you have. It will look similar to one of these....there are letters and numbers that tell us what it is. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

T3bbb 2 Posted December 7, 2018 I hope I'm not intruding but I just acquired what i believe is a 1926 chrysler F58. Also is there anymore identification numbers that I should look for? Engine serial? Trans serial? Possibly a frame number? I'm completely new to the pre war era vehicles and dont know where to start for trying to find outside its history or to even find out if my car is original or not. viv w 92 Posted December 7, 2018 The letters basically were allocated numbers as follows:- W P C H R Y S L E R 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 So the starting serial number YC200P = 522001 and YR056S = 540566, the last serial number built. nzcarnerd 560 Posted December 8, 2018 Somewhere in that era, as well, there was a change from Fisher bodies - with a Fisher cowl plate - to 'Chrysler' bodies with no cowl plate. I think just due to a change of ownership of the body factory. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
