39 Zephyr sold on ebay

Recommended Posts

A 39 Zephyr just sold on ebay for $28k, I posted photos.

Two years ago, 2016, a complete, running Zephyr sold for $25k near me, paint was old and worn, interior was worn, so much better then this car.

Those with insight please explain.

Hot Rodders love this car.  It appears to have a straight body under the surface rust.  It will be interesting to see if the car really sold, or if it shows up,on eBay in a week or so, which often happens.  Hot rodders are paying more than this for an original 32 Ford roadster body, even though steel repo bodies are available.

A large % of eBay "sales" do not go through for many reasons.  Not saying this one isn't going to be completed, just something to think about.  I cant tell you how many times cars are "sold" and then relisted by the same seller, or they are "sold" and then the feedback indicates differently.

Also, sales price is 100% determined by interested audience.  Have a bad audience, get a low price.  Have a good audience, get a better price.

Figure on $100.00 per hour at a body shop and that turns into a very good deal. The best customs and restorations start with a great body. Bob
