After a engine rebuild, about 2000 miles, the car is still losing oil at the rate of a quart every 100-150 miles. Some leaking, some maybe burning. A couple of puddles after stopping the car, but not a quarts worth. Some have suggested leak at the rear main, others say to look at the fuel pump to see if it is sucking out oil, or others say just wait for the rings to seal. Looking for all angles.

I don't think the problem is the rings. I have rebuilt several flathead Caddy engoines & never had a problem with oil consumption. Look underneath the car. Is the undercarraige behind the engne covered with fresh oil? That might indicate a leaky rear main seal. A fuel pump kit is about $30 or $40. At that cost you might as well just replace it. Are you sure engine was completely rebuilt? Or did they just do rings & a valve job?
